Gaon Chart has introduced its newest batch of official platinum certifications!
Last 12 months, the Korea Music Content Industry Association carried out a brand-new certification system for album gross sales, tune downloads, and on-line streaming. Starting with music launched on or after January 1, 2018, Gaon Chart now certifies albums platinum as soon as they attain 250,000 gross sales, whereas songs obtain a platinum certification at 100 million streams or 2.5 million downloads.
On July 11, Gaon Chart introduced that GOT7’s newest mini album “Spinning Top : Between Security & Insecurity,” MONSTA X’s third studio album “Take.2: We Are Here,” and NCT 127’s current mini album “We Are Superhuman” had all obtained official platinum certifications after promoting over 250,000 copies every.
Meanwhile, MAMAMOO’s “Starry Night,” MOMOLAND’s “BBoom BBoom,” Chungha’s “Roller Coaster,” and MeloMance’s “You” all obtained official platinum certifications within the obtain class after surpassing 2.5 million downloads every.
Finally, within the streaming class, MC the Max’s “After You’ve Gone” was licensed platinum after reaching 100 million streams, whereas Paul Kim’s “Every Day, Every Moment” was licensed double platinum after surpassing 200 million streams.
